Safety Manager - Define and implement the safety strategy in all company
Multinational energy company, leader in the liquefied gas market and specialized in clean energy, with presence in more than 20 countries, is looking for a Safety Manager in Barcelona, to define and implement the safety strategy in all company levels including partners to achieve the safety goals. The Safety manager will be part of the extended leadership team to assure that safety is the top priority to keep the business and the employees safe.
The Safety Manager will have the following responsabilities:
Develop and implement a BU health and safety strategy that is aligned to both the BU business strategy and the global group safety strategy.
Ensure that the BU safety strategy is translated into operational actions plans, in conjunction with the BU operations and line management, which also support the achievement of the group safety strategy and vision.
In conjunction with HR and operational / line management develop the safety knowledge, skills and behaviours of the organisation through coaching, mentoring and other capability development processes.
Support the development and improvement of safety and operational standards by identifying and adopting best practice within the BU.
Ensure compliance with the standards defined by relevant legal, regulatory, and internal and industry safety requirements.
Liaise with local / regional regulatory authorities and industry groups as required.
Ensure quality and operational improvement, driving growth and profitability by identifying cost reduction opportunities, inefficiencies, and customer service improvement areas. All ensuring intelligent use of resources and performance measurement.
Provide support and guidance to operations and line management on incident investigations and the closure of the corrective actions identified, particularly for major incidents.
Depending on the skills of the candidate, quality; change management; process improvement can become secondary responsibilities.
