Job Description:
The Manager – Sport Club & Gym forms part of the Operational Team and manages the club & gym lobby and arrival/departure experience within the club. As the first and last impression of the Gym, this high profile department carries a special responsibility.
They ensure accurate communication between gym staff and members, following up on guest requests and problems. The club’s reception is also the natural place where guests direct comments, questions, suggests and concerns. Member Experience Manager oversees day-to-day operations and supports the Front Desk and Member Relations Agents.
The Manager is also a liaison between management, club partners and operations.
This position is on a rotating shift basis, including weekends and afternoon-night shifts and on-job training will be provided.
The Manager will be responsible for:
• Ensure the smooth running of the reception and ‘front of house’
• Work with the club’s partners, management and operations to ensure the smooth running of the entire club
• Respond to any questions, needs and desires of members, and follow up with members to ensure their requests have been met to their satisfaction
• Respond to members needs and anticipate their unstated ones
• Actively listen and resolve members’ complaints
• Coordinate and manage communication between members and staff • Promote all classes, events and fitness programs offered
SE REQUIERE
Previous working experience as guest relations manager
• Working experience in luxury establishments. Experience in international environment will be a plus
• Experience as a Guest Relations Manager will be highly valued
• Experience managing teams of more than 10 people.
• Excellent problem resolution skills
• Outstanding communication and active listening skills
• Ability to work flexible hours
Relevant academic degree
• 5+ years of relevant working experience
• Experience and/or interest in the Health/Fitness Industry would be valuable
• English and Spanish is a must, other languages will be valuable
