Job Description:
Professional experience within the renewable energy sector (PV and Wind)|Development of the Spanish renewable energy branch
The company has been developing, constructing and operating renewable energy projects. Currently develops several wind and solar energy projects in France, Belgium and Spain and works to create projects that respect biodiversity, landscapes, human and environmental interests.
You will be the driving force behind the development of the Spanish renewable energy branch and the implementation of the realized projects:
You define and implement the development strategy for Spain, in compliance with the objectives and budgets set by HQ;
You develop new business opportunities and see that these opportunities are pursued to their maximum potential;
You manage the development of a project within budget from any stage to get it to a ready to build state, dealing with all related contracts and conditions (eg PPA-contracts, grid connection,…) and managing all project stakeholders - in close coordination/collaboration with the technical and financial support departments;
You will be responsible for the development of a local team (e.g. project managers, land surveyors and engineers) (organic growth of the Spanish development team based on the project needs);
You ensure and cultivate effective consultation with the key players in order to create the best conditions for the acceptance and feasibility of all renewable energy projects;
You represent the company in and ensure that it has a good reputation with local and regional authorities, the population, professional associations, etc.;
You are familiar with the local legislation and existing procedures to develop a renewable energy project, you keep on gathering information via different channels to stay informed about changing regulations/procedures;
You will pursue the development of an existing large-scale brownfield project and you will be responsible for identifying other renewable energy projects (focusing on wind, solar and storage);
You will be fully responsible for the results of the Spanish branch (and its team) and will manage your area with a high degree of autonomy under the responsibility of Head Quarters.
