Job Description:
Campus Life is the department at IE University that transmits the institution’s values and spirit through community engagement. It is the platform for the intangible (values, school spirit, sense of belonging), as well as the tangible student experience projects that go beyond the classroom. We help maximize the student journey at IE by serving as the campus nexus, meaning we foster connections between staff, faculty, students, alumni, and external partners. The Campus Life team ensures that the entire community keeps the importance of being engaged top of mind, by seeking out cross-club and cross-program initiatives, and taking advantage of the incredibly broad network that IE has to offer.
Working towards a ONE campus feel (between Segovia, María de Molina, and the Tower campuses) under the OWN YOUR EXPERIENCE strategy for students:
•Making sure everyone feels a part of the IE community (there is something for everyone, no matter what their interests or passions might be beyond their academic pursuits)
•Each and every student has the possibility to build their own experience, and the power to shape their unique legacy/blueprint at IE
•IE not only allows students to create their learning journey, but also helps fuel their capacity to do so by providing them with endless resources (hence the importance of community engagement to provide them with the finest presentation of resources)
The primary function of the Campus Life Coordinator is the support in the day-to-day of student club activities and event planning management. In parallel, the Coordinator will have the chance to get involved with all other university projects that help achieve the larger Student Experience objectives.
Key Action Areas:
Day-to-day Management and Representation of the Campus Life Team:
•Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Campus Life.
•Facilitating project communications between all relevant actors of the IE community (especially between the institutional side – ie. departments, faculty, current students, alumni and partners - & student entities – ie. clubs/Student Government).
•Collaborating with the Program Management Teams, Talent & Careers, Global Market, Institutional Relations, Alumni, Marketing, Corporate Relations, and other departments at IE for the dissemination and organization of activities and events.
•Representing the Campus Life department at fairs, presentations, opening ceremonies and other activities where the presence of a representative of the department is requested.
•Seeking out sponsors and/or external partners for Campus Life, and Student Club activities across all campuses.
•Developing and proposing creative initiatives like the IE Strategic Skills Program (leadership development program), the Technology/consulting club umbrellas with strong professional advisory boards, extensive strategies for department’s communications platforms, etc.
•Revision of protocols and guidebooks, by highlighting new best practices for internal and external purposes. This involves the creation of new templates for faster and easier frameworks for students and staff.
•Managing the Club Officer election period logistics (done twice a year): deadline revision, development of proper communication strategy, and revising information session presentations for new Club Officers.
•Assisting with all logistics for events on the María de Molina campus in particular and coordinating with the IE Maintenance team accordingly.
•Revision of billing and budget items for clubs, initiatives and activities, with the support of the Student Advisors.
Event/initiatives Management:
•Planning and organizing department top flagship events: such as the IE Entrepreneurship Summit, TechIE conference, Mentorship programs, the Social Responsibility Forum, Global Innovation Challenge, Club Fair, etc. (based on team’s internal planning distribution tasks on an annual basis).
•Revision and follow up on internal and ext
