Job Description:

Global retail group with more than 150.000 employees worldwide, over 4.500 stores across more than 70 markets.
The Region runs across 5 markets: France, Belgium / Luxembourg, Spain / Portugal, Italy, Turkey
Your core responsibilities will include to:
Create and uphold Regional Privacy Guidelines and expectations based on local legislation (countries within the Region) and central guidelines
Identify potential gaps and be the owner of strategic and tactical plan to mitigate such potential gaps including recurring reviews and audits
Follow up and report on current state, risks and plans to regional and central key stakeholders
Establish Regional understanding, commitment and support as well as set expectations and plans in collaboration with Regional Management Team and the Regional organization
Proactively guide and support privacy compliance and data enablement in connection with the Regional business plan
Manage expectations and empower the local Country Data Privacy Coordinators within your region to stay compliant as well as provide hands-on support
Evaluate the existing data protection framework and identify areas of non or partial compliance and rectify any issues
Coordinate training plans and provide data protection advice and support for the markets
Stay updated on developments within the local data protection area and changes to the global compliance program
Participate in evaluating and elaborate the creation and implementation of this new role for the Group together with the central Data Privacy organization
This is a permanent position on a local contract at our office in Barcelona, reporting to Regional Controller and Central Data Privacy Office.
