JOB DESCRIPTION
The Robotics and Automation Unit of Eurecat Technology Center (Barcelona) is looking for a highly motivated researcher to work in Advanced Manipulation.
Our group is specialized in applied research and development on Service and Industrial Robotics. Our objective is to increase the level of robot autonomy and intelligence to enable more complex robotics behaviours. We focus on the following topics: aerial and terrestrial autonomous navigation, industrial robotics, manipulation, human-robot cooperation, perception, cognition, and robot behavior. Over the last 15 years, our group has developed extensive experience in solutions and developments for our industrial and service private customers, as well as in several of the most successful European and Spanish projects in robotics. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate shall work on different research projects dealing with industrial and collaborative robots and mobile manipulators with focus on planning, control under interaction of physical forces.
The main responsibilities will focus on the scientific contribution and technological developments including:
* Dexterous and collaborative robotics manipulation and human-robot interaction.
* Task and motion planning and robot skill learning
* Participate in the definition and development of new concepts and robotic ideas
* Develop, validate and maintain code
* Sporadic support/supervision to robot integration and maintenance
* Participate in scientific publications
* Support to project management to ensure proper project execution
* Establish and maintain contact with clients and partners in consortium

Requisitos mínimos
REQUIRED SKILLS
* PhD or MSc and equivalent experience in Robotics, AI, Computer Vision or related discipline.
* Proven experience in planning for manipulation
* Experience on AI (DL, RL, NLP)
* Knowledge about ROS, programming skills (C++, Python).
* Excellent knowledge of English is required.
* Availability to travel occasionally
