The Technical Presales Consultant is responsible for developing and realizing automation solutions and concepts as well as supporting customers and the Siemens sales force. The successful candidate has technical experience in automation plus exceptional communication and execution skills paired with exceptional organizational skills and business acumen to achieve goals on time.

Responsibilities
- Performs automation software design and simulation in accordance with customer/project needs.
- Supports international project teams and customers for the simulation of automation solutions based on the Siemens Factory Automation portfolio.
- Resolves complex technical challenges and acts as one escalation point for major customer technical issues.
- Create simulation environments to proof and test OT/IT integration of machines on the shopfloor into lines and factories
- Generates technical collateral such as application examples and templates for reuse by others.
- Supports knowledge transfer through creating and presenting technical presentation at customers and conferences.

Requisitos mínimos

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer/mechanical engineering or computer science
- More than 3 years of experience in Siemens automation systems
- Extensive knowledge in SIMATIC PLC, STEP 7 and WinCC
- Knowledge in simulation tools like PLCSIM Advanced, MCD, SIMIT or Plant Simulation
- Additional knowledge in multiple automation areas such as networking, security, machine safety, PC-based automation, robotics and motion control beneficial
- Experience in the machine building industry
- Experience in interaction with customers, suppliers and other stake holders
